Charlotte NC Wildflower Field Summertime Senior Pictures

Summer time wild flower senior pictures in north carolina

This shoot was done smack in the middle of summer in July in Charlotte, North Carolina. That means it was hot and humid, and generally pretty gross out. We shot from around 8-10am. Most people steer away from summer sessions because of the heat, but you can’t tell we felt like we were in a sauna, can you? Anne Leigh still looks amazing! We never would have gotten these shots had we not shot in the summertime.

What season is best for pictures

Be sure and talk to your photographer about what season is best for your session. You might be surprised. Most of my clients think they are going to get lots of flowers in the spring and that just isn’t the case. Many flowers are not in full bloom in the spring and some only bloom for a short period of time in the spring.

NBP actually offers discounts for off-season (summer or winter) portraits.

Free People Dress

The maxi dress below is from Free People and along with the jacket and hat are available to borrow from the NBP Style Closet.

Anneleigh is a homeschool student who was on my Class of 2022 model team. We had lots of fun sessions together, including her senior pictures. This was just a fun stylized shoot we did at a local flower farm. While this farm is open to the public, you need to have a reservation. Photographers must purchase a pass in order to shoot here. It’s great because it’s never overly crowded, and photography shoot times are different than when it is open to the public.

Anneleigh is one of the coolest and most adventurous people I know. She and her mom are always jet-setting around the world to the most amazing places. Anneleigh graduated early and is taking a gap year in Hawaii! How awesome is that?

Hi! I was just wondering what flower field these summer shoots were at? I am wanting to propose to my girlfriend and I can’t find anywhere that tells me any good ones. I know Mclawland farms is closed tomorrow and I am desperate. I saw these pictures while looking up places and I figured I’d just try and reach out and you might be able to share some info.
