Ardrey Kell Grad Fall Portrait Session

Ardrey Kell High School senior portrait

Meet Anya! She had a 2-hour session with me this fall complete with professional makeup. Her mama decided to add her siblings in for part of the shoot along with their dogs. Here, I’m only showcasing Anya, but the rest of the family pics turned out super cute too. I think it safe to say, it was a long day, but we all had a total blast. I adore her family so much and I just loved working with all of them.

Anya’s Senior Portrait Experience

Q. How was your experience during your senior shoot?
A. It was amazing! I had such a fun time getting my makeup done and walking around the park in my dress! I truly felt like a princess.

Q. What’s one piece of advice you’d give to anyone getting their senior photos taken?
A. Be confident and trust the process! I was worried about how things would look but trust that Gianna is going to make you look amazing and just let loose!

Q. What kind of look were you going for in your senior photos?
A. I honestly didn’t have a specific look in mind.

Q. Did you accessorize differently with each outfit? Did any accessories have any special meaning?
A. I did! In both of my outfits I experimented with hats and a jacket. I could have sworn I wasn’t a hat person but I absolutely loved the way the pictures with the hats came out!

Q. Did you take any props or try to incorporate any activities that you’re in?
A. I did not

Q. Any tips on how to prepare for the session or must have things to bring?
A. Bring a few makeup items to do touch up! On the way to our location I used a few items to touch up my look and I think it helped a lot!

Q. Let’s talk about locations. What location(s) did you choose for your session? Why did you choose that location? Do you wish you would have gone some place different or would you suggest where you went?

A: I got my pictures done in Marvin Efird Park because I loved the other pictures I had seen there. I absolutely loved the way my pictures turned out and I don’t regret it at all. I loved the way my outfits looked in the background and I would definitely recommend it to anyone else looking for a pretty natural background!
Q. Why do you think senior portraits are important?
A. I think senior pictures are important to capture a really important time in your life!
