As a photographer, it’s a good idea to scout out new locations. In Charlotte, we are lucky to have all types of scenes! I recently needed to test out this location in Ballantyne for a client, who later decided she wanted a different spot that I regularly use. Since I had already set up this test shoot with one of my Weddington High School Team ’21 models, we went ahead with it.
This turned out to be a really great place with good light, a variety of shooting spots, and easy parking. I love to be able to provide you with choices for your portrait sessions. Your backdrop and environment can define the entire style of the session. As a general rule, I prefer to test out new locations, but it doesn’t always work that way.
Some of my session packages have an option for two locations. I try to keep these about 10 minutes from each other. Also, I like to offer one urban location and one natural location. For example, I would do this parking garage and a park or field. That will give you a huge variety of images in your final gallery. Once you add different outfits and change your hair or add a hat, it will look like two completely separate shoots in one!
