Charlotte, NC Photographer Covid-19 Policies and Safe Practices
This past week, as part of the reopening of North Carolina’s phase 1, I have began taking sessions again! For the class of 2020 graduating high school seniors in the Charlotte area and all around the world this has been a trying time. So I was happy to be able to provide this service for them as they have lost so many experiences. I’m not gonna lie, I was a little nervous to go back. While I love working with teens I know that this group is one that has a more difficult time staying home and practicing social distancing.
I take every precaution before, during and after our session. Every item, whether it is clothing, accessories or a prop gets sterilized before and after each use. After each use, it is sterilized and shelved for 48 hours before being offered to another client. During the session I only allow the client plus one guest and enforce social distancing throughout the session. Myself and the guest wear masks during the session and the guest is asked to do some a few of the things I normally do like fix hair and clothing.
While I have to take some extra steps for the safety and health of myself and my clients, I am so grateful that I can still perform my job during this difficult time. It is so fun to get out in the fresh air and work with these teens for an hour or two. Katelyn was one who I worked with his week and she was so awesome. She easily took my suggestions and quickly became comfortable. Working with her was effortless! I hope that Katelyn gets to celebrate all her hard work and efforts and is able to continue to pursue her path this fall, whatever that may be.
