Hey all! It’s Tip Tuesday, so please see the tip at the bottom of this post! This was a session for some Marvin Ridge High School senior sisters that also happen to be the most adorable twins. We’ve been having some unseasonably warm weather and the leaves have stayed their gorgeous color much longer than usual. This session took place back in the middle of November.
Not meeting the girls beforehand, or really having anytime for questionnaires or to get to know them none of us really knew exactly what to expect. Because the session took place right after school we didn’t have a ton of time to go over things before the session either, before jumping in. As we walked to our location, I let them know how the session would go, and we jumped right in.
They were so sweet and I was so impressed with their outfit choices. They were just perfect! We only planned a one-hour shoot with no time for a wardrobe change, so that one outfit had to be perfect and theirs were! I hope the girls had fun during their session, I’m so happy that it all worked out and I was able to get them on the schedule. Today’s tip is all about LAYERING. As we begin to move into the colder months, I get a lot of people who are skeptical about scheduling because they don’t want to be photographed in a coat. However, I love this time, because it really encourages layering. Many people’s first instinct to stay warm is to throw on a coat. But adding different layers like a skirt, tight, boots, long sleeves, sweaters, awesome jacket, can not only keep you warm but adds incredible depth and variety to your images. Pair this with layered accessories and your all set!
