Hey y’all! As promised I’m back to share the rest of Julianne’s feature from Tuesday. Her high school senior portrait session took place this summer in two locations in the South Park Mall area of Charlotte, North Carolina. Being that she is a student at Marvin Ridge High School, we could have easily done her session somewhere closer to home, like in Waxhaw, but we were really pushing all the boundaries here. We were going for a completely different look and feel than that of her peers and for Julianne herself. Since we were doing a deluxe session, we had several hours, outfits, poses and micro-locations to explore.
When coming up with this concept I was thinking city style and high fashion. We were able to incorporate so many looks into her gallery in these two locations. Sadly, since we shot there, the field has now been leveled for development. It happens so often in Waxhaw especially, I find a beautiful field, where the sun drops perfectly, I shoot there a few times, and BAM! Leveled, developed. Okay, rant over. As sad as I am about that, I’m grateful for the beautiful photography session I got there with Julianne. Muse is the word I would use to describe her. She definitely sealed the deal for me in deciding to move exclusivly from families to seniors. It had been on my mind for quite some time and my experience with her was so fun that the decision was made!
She had fun too, because she agreed to sign on as one of my six senior model reps and become a member of my 2018 VIP Model Squad. She joined five other girls from Weddington High School, Cuthbertson High School, and South Mecklenburg High School. As model reps they represent the Natural Bloom Photography brand by doing super fun photo shoots through out their senior year! I’ll be posting lots of pictures from their model sessions so make sure and check in and if you are interested in becoming a 2019 model and follow Natural Bloom Photo on Instagram and Facebook for news and application dates.
