Fall Natural Floral Senior Pictures | Ardrey Kell High School

While I’m posting this now as we are headed into spring, these were actually taken in the FALL! You wouldn’t believe it with all the flower pictures we got! Super excited to have gotten to shoot with Kassidy for her senior pictures I had already met her a couple times for family pictures and did her older sister’s senior pictures. I love working with their family. Their fashion is always on point with no extra assistance needed from me. I died over the pink Free People Dress. She actually brought it in green too but I liked the contrast of the pink since I knew we would have a lot of green in our backgrounds. Kass went for all natural locations. Two of them, one at the park with lots of flowers and my secret field in Waxhaw. Read on to see what Kass thought of the shoot and get to know her a bit!

Kassidy’s Senior Portrait Experience

Q. How was your experience during your senior shoot?
A.  My experience was amazing! Gianna really got me out of my comfort zone and we had so much fun together! I learned many tips and tricks about how to pose for different pictures!

Q. What’s one piece of advice you’d give to anyone getting their senior photos taken?
A. Just have fun! Don’t worry about how you are posing or what the pictures are going to look like as long as you have fun and move around they are going to be great.

Q. What kind of look were you going for in your senior photos?
A.  I really wanted to have super natural looking pictures. I wanted to just look like I was moving around while someone was taking pictures.

Q. Did you accessorize differently with each outfit? Did any accessories have any special meaning?
A.  For the most part I wore the same jewelry just because each piece matched each outfit which made changing super easy. I changed my necklace once or twice just to have options!

Q. Did you take any props or try to incorporate any activities that you’re in?
A. I used flowers and different natural items we found in each location. I did use a hat as well to hold and wear which I think added alot to the pictures!

Q. Any tips on how to prepare for the session or must have things to bring?
A. Definitely bring a bunch of different outfit options. You never know if something could change or how an outfit is going to look in a certain location so it is always good to have different choices. This is just my preference but I made sure my nails were done before the shoot so they looked good on camera! I definitely chose a neutral color for my nails so they didn’t stick out too much!

Q. Let’s talk about locations. What location(s) did you choose for your session? Why did you choose that location? Do you wish you would have gone someplace different or would you suggest where you went? I chose to go to Marvin Park. I chose this location because it is all outside and has many different natural settings. We were able to take pictures in a field and then switch to these beautiful flowers. It was the perfect place!
Q. Why do you think senior portraits are important?
A.  Senior portraits are so important because they are a great memory to look back at when you are older. You are able to show your best features and can show your creativity through different outfits.
